As well as teaching basic embroidery stitches such as Back Stitch, French Knots, and Chain Stitch, this kit is also a great introduction to needle painting techniques such as Long and Short Stitch (which makes the colour gradient on the antlers!)
Sammy's Note: this deer is the first piece of embroidery that I ever designed. That was back in 2016, and it's still proudly hanging in my parent's living room! My stitching might have improved a bit by then - but I love having it as a reminder of where my embroidery journey started!
